Timber Hills Farm has a wonderful weekend at the Iowa Fall Classic Horseshow in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Eleven horses made the trip to show at the Kirkwood Equestrian Center.  Hard work and preparation paid off and we are so incredibly proud of each of our riders and their talented horses.  Our academy riders were the highlight of the weekend, our riders did railwork and patterns, and left the ring with top ribbons and smiles.  Amaia, Emri, Nora, Marren, Hanna, and Jessica with Magic, Zena, and Raven did very well and it was wonderful to see all they learned from the experience.

Our show riders and sale horses were equally successful! To kick off the weekend, Mark and The Crescendo (“Ernie) mixed it up a little and went in the 3-gaited park class and took home two reserve championships.  Ernie has mostly been shown in Country and Show Pleasure, but his extreme motion and athleticism made him an ideal candidate to showcase his performance abilities.  Adrian and Born to Charm won their championship in the English show pleasure adult class.  They continue to finish at the top of the competition in both pleasure and equitation during the 2014 campaign. Sydney and the THF farm favorite horse Magic Phevor won the English country pleasure junior exhibitor championship. Izzy and CH Like Sunshine won the pleasure eq championship 17 and under.  In addition, CH Like Sunshine and Izzy won the coveted Iowa Saddleseat Equitation Final Cup.  This class comes with a $1,000 scholarship and has a history of being won by Timber Hills Farm riders.  “Sunshine” is a sweet mare that earned her CH in the 3-gaited division added “equitation” to her long list of accomplishments. This wonderful mare can do it all!

The young horses of Timber Hills Farm gave exciting performances that has everyone thrilled about the future.  Renae and Stuart  won the 3-year-old training class. Stuart is a flashy pleasure prospect making his show ring debut in 2014. Mark and Mozart’s Crescendo “Mo” were 4th out of a large futurity weanling championship. Renae and the homebred Absolutely Got It absolutely ROCKED it in the park pleasure stake and qualifier.  This talented bay is only four, but he already has earned top ribbons at Louisville, Lexington, Mane Event, Midwest, Tanbark, and St. Louis.  He is the real deal!

The victories were sweet, but spending time together is what is most important! We are so proud of our THF team.  We look forward to seeing everyone back out at the barn.  Our next stop will be the St. Louis Charity Horseshow at the end of September.
