The Iowa Academy Championships are always a big deal each year for our riders. After starting their season in March, competing in (or even winning) a state championship is an important goal. Many of our academy riders earned state titles, but also gained other significant experiences.
Due to the cancellation of the Iowa Fall Classic, this year’s championships were held at the newly-minted Iowa October Classic in Iowa Falls. THF took 2 horses with 5 riders and won 11 classes with 5 reserves. Each winner was even given a bundle of carrots as a trophy, and THF had a huge pile of them at the end of the show!
We are so proud of our academy riders’ accomplishments both tangible and intangible this year. We are already looking forward to next season!
